Had to choose between a 4-hour rewire or a $2000 panel upgrade on a Friday afternoon job.

The old cloth wiring in this 1950s house was a fire hazard, but the homeowner only had budget for one fix. I went with the rewire because safety first, but now I'm worried the old panel can't handle the new load. What would you guys have done in that spot?

Yeah that fuse box is a ticking time bomb.

That old fuse box is gonna pop the first time they run the AC and microwave together. Should've pushed for the panel, man.
