Appreciation post: Stood firm on a shady panel upgrade offer

Guy wanted me to use older breakers to save him a few bucks. I laid out the overload risk and used new ones. He grumbled but the job is safe now.

Almost learned that the hard way once, lol. Changed my mind.

Actually, breakers don't really wear out from age like that. It's more about how many times they trip.

My panel still has the breakers from the Carter administration.
