The electrician who laughed at my panel labels and walked off

Last fall I spent a whole Saturday labeling every breaker in my 1980s bungalow with a detailed chart, color coded and everything. When the electrician came to fix a buzzing outlet, he flipped the main instead of using my labels, then said "nobody reads those, they're always wrong anyway." He was gone in 20 minutes and it took me a month to realize he also wired the new outlet backward. Has anyone else had a pro just ignore your prep work and make things worse?
