My garage ceiling storage rack saved my back and my sanity

Last fall I got sick of tripping over bins in my St Albert garage. Spent $120 on a ceiling-mounted rack from Home Depot and put it up in one afternoon with a buddy. The trick was measuring the joist spacing first and using 3 inch lag bolts, not the included screws. Now all 8 bins are up top and I can park my truck inside for the first time in 2 years. Anyone else done overhead storage and found a better way to organize the heavy stuff?

$120 for a ceiling rack that holds 8 bins, honestly I'm floored. I priced out similar ones here in Edmonton last spring and they were closer to $200 even on sale. And you got it done in one afternoon with just a buddy, that's wild to me, I swear my last garage project took three weekends and a broken drill bit. The 3 inch lag bolts tip is gold too, the included screws are absolute garbage, I learned that the hard way with a shelf that nearly dropped my snowblower.
