Why does nobody talk about how bad the LRT schedule is during summer construction

I was waiting at the Century Park station last Tuesday for 22 minutes because they decided to run single tracking without telling anyone. The digital board said 4 minutes for like 10 straight minutes. I ended up calling my boss and saying I'd be late, which never looks good. Has anyone else had this happen or am I the only one who checks the schedule before heading out?

Oh man, that is the worst! I've been burned by that exact same Century Park digital board lie so many times. The thing that gets me is they always do it during rush hour too, like last week they shut down a whole section between South Campus and McKernan/Belgravia for "maintenance" but didn't post anything until the day of. I've taken to checking the city's Twitter feed before I even leave the house now, 'cause those board updates are basically a suggestion, not real info. You'd think by now they'd just have a big sign that says "expect 20 minute waits" so we can plan around it rather than standing there like confused sheep.

South Campus is actually on the other side of the river from Century Park so that shutdown wouldn't affect those boards.
