Warning: My phone died right before a meetup at the Muttart Conservatory

I was supposed to connect with someone from a local group chat there last Tuesday, but my battery hit zero as I pulled into the parking lot. I had to just wander around the pyramids for an hour hoping I'd spot them, which I totally didn't. How do you guys handle backup plans when a chat-facilitated meetup goes sideways?
