PSA: I was using the wrong search terms for local stuff this whole time
I kept getting generic results for 'plumbers' until I added 'Edmonton' to the end, which seems obvious now. A guy at the hardware store last week told me to always include the city name, even in local groups. How do you guys phrase your searches to find stuff actually in town?

My friend had the same problem looking for a vet. She kept getting national chains and websites until she started putting "near me" after everything. It sounds dumb but it actually works with most search engines now. She also adds our zip code sometimes for really specific stuff. That hardware store guy gave solid advice.

Wait, she didn't already use "near me"?
