My whole chat feed just vanished on the Edmonton Chat app last night

I was scrolling through the local posts around 8 PM and the app just crashed hard. When I opened it again, my entire message history and the main feed were just gone, like a blank screen. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it back, but I lost a bunch of direct messages from earlier in the day. Has this happened to anyone else here in the last couple days? I'm on an Android phone.

Actually sounds like a phone storage issue, not the app's fault. My buddy's Android did the same thing with a different chat app because his memory was full. You probably just needed to clear your cache instead of reinstalling everything.

My iPhone 12 did the exact same thing last month with Slack, had to clear cache three times before it stuck. @alexj99 you're spot on, reinstalling is way overkill when a simple cache clear does the trick. Just make sure you reboot your phone after clearing it or the old data comes back.
