Finally nailed the timing on my morning commute after 6 months of frustration
I was always hitting the tail end of the school zone traffic on 149 Street around 8:10 AM. It added an extra 15 minutes to my drive every single day. Then I tried leaving the house just 7 minutes earlier, at 7:58 instead of 8:05. The difference was huge, I cleared that stretch before the buses even started rolling. Now I get to the office with time to grab a coffee instead of being late. Has anyone else found a tiny time shift that totally fixes their route?

Seven minutes earlier and it's the difference between rage-sipping cold coffee and actually enjoying one? That's wild. Tried something similar on my route with a 5 minute head start and somehow I ended up hitting every single light green instead of red... still can't figure out the logic behind it. Just proves my morning brain is definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to time management.

Traffic lights are timed in waves, so your 5 minute gap might just sync you into a green cycle.
