Paid $40 for a glass jar cutting kit and it shattered on the second try

I figured spending a little cash would make turning old pickle jars into planters foolproof, but the score wheel snapped in half and now I'm back to using yarn and nail polish remover like some 1970s craft wizard. Has anyone else had better luck with those diamond hole saw bits instead?

Diamond hole saws work great if you keep them wet.

Keep them wet" is the key - I learned that the HARD way after ruining a brand new bit on my first try. Once I started using a constant trickle of water from a spray bottle, my diamond holesaws started cutting through tile like butter. The difference between dry and wet cutting with those things is honestly night and day.
