Old t-shirt turned into produce bags, actually works

Saw a video about cutting old tees into produce bags. Thought it was dumb. Tried it with a worn out shirt from Goodwill. Used it for apples at the store yesterday. Cashier even commented. Has anyone else tried this with different fabrics?

Yeah I gotta disagree on this one honestly. The cotton shirts I tried just stretched out weirdly and didn't hold their shape once I got them home, plus the raw edges frayed like crazy after a few washes. Maybe a thicker fabric like an old jersey would work better, but for me the whole thing turned into a mess pretty fast.

Oh great, so you're telling me my future wardrobe plans are about as durable as my New Year's resolutions?
