My old ladder became a towel rack after it broke in half
I was moving it in Portland last Saturday and the hinge snapped clean off, so I sanded the splinters, screwed some hooks into the rungs, and now it's mounted over the bathroom door holding 8 towels like it was meant to be, anyone else turned broken furniture into something that works better?

Honestly, this post kinda blew my mind a little. I always saw broken furniture as straight up trash, no way around it. But you turned a dangerous piece of junk into something way more useful than the ladder ever was, and it looks intentional too. Ive got a nightstand with a busted drawer leg sitting in my garage right now, and now I'm eyeing it like it could be a plant stand or something. Never thought about giving stuff a second life like that, but you made me see it totally different. Good on you for not just chucking it.
