My dad's advice about old dresser drawers was spot on
He told me last spring not to toss the old oak drawers from the 90s, said to hang them on the wall as shelves in my garage. I finally did it last weekend, used 4 of them with simple L brackets, and they hold all my paint cans and sandpaper like a charm. Anyone else repurpose furniture pieces instead of the whole thing?

Those drawers probably look decent now, but give it a few years and the oak will warp from the garage temperature swings. Seems like a lot of effort for something a $20 shelf would do better.
