Just realized I've been paying $12 a month for fabric softener when wool dryer balls work better

Picked up a set of six wool dryer balls at the thrift store for $3 and my clothes come out softer and way less static than with the liquid stuff... has anyone else made the switch and noticed their towels actually absorb water better now?

Toss a few drops of essential oil on them if you want a scent, otherwise they work perfect.

I mean, maybe it's just me but plain is fine if you wash them right.
