I finally tried painting old glass jars with chalk paint instead of spray paint and I'm shocked at which one actually lasted longer without chipping

After 3 months of using both methods on mason jars for my bathroom odds and ends, the chalk paint held up way better than the spray paint but it took twice as long to apply, so which do you guys think is worth the trade off for a quick weekend project?

My buddy did a test on his pickle jars last year and said the chalk paint chipped way less after six months of regular use in his garage. The spray paint looked nicer at first but started peeling around the rims within a few weeks. For a quick weekend project I'd still go with spray paint since the time savings matter more to me than long term durability.

Nah @jamieburns, chalk paint is way too much prep work for pickle jars.
