My $25 slow cooker liner saved me from a 2 hour soak session
I finally caved and bought a box of slow cooker liners after seeing them on sale at Target. Last week I made a bbq pulled pork that basically cemented itself to the ceramic pot. Normally I'd be scrubbing for like 20 minutes with hot water and baking soda. But with the liner I just pulled it out and tossed it, the pot was basically clean with one rinse. Has anyone else found these things worth it or do you prefer the old soak and scrub method?

Man, those liners are seriously a game changer. I was the same way, thought they were just another gimmick. But after one batch of honey garlic chicken that left a layer of burnt sugar that a sandblaster couldn't have touched, I grabbed a box. Now I use them for anything with a thick sauce or sticky marinade. The only thing I've found is you gotta make sure the liner is tucked down tight against the sides of the pot, otherwise it can float up and you get a mess anyway. Still way less scrubbing than without one.

My sister kept telling me to try them for like a year and I was all "nah I'm good scrubbing it out." Finally grabbed a box of the Reynolds ones on a whim and honestly it changed my mind completely after one use. I made a chili that normally leaves this ring of burnt on tomato sauce and the liner just peeled right off with zero effort. Now I keep a box in my pantry and only do the soak method if I run out.
