Had to choose between a cheap slow cooker and a mid-range one for my new apartment
I picked the mid-range $50 one because the $20 model had a glass lid that looked too thin, and now after 3 months it still hasn't cracked or given me any trouble, has anyone else had a lid break on them with a cheaper brand?

My buddy bought the cheap $20 one and the lid literally shattered on month two lol. It's funny how we always think we're saving money but end up paying more in the long run. Same thing happened with my coffee maker - got the $15 special and it leaked all over my counter after three weeks. Now I just figure anything under $30 for an appliance you use every day is basically a gamble. You made the right call with that slow cooker, man.

Wait, you're telling me that $20 slow cooker actually made it two months? @robertsmith I had a similar thing with a cheap toaster, thing caught on fire after like 6 weeks. Learned my lesson the hard way, now I just spend the extra cash on stuff I use every day. You're spot on about the gamble part, that $30 rule is pretty solid honestly.
