Thought the hype around those musty old library discard bins was overblown until I pulled a 1923 field guide to Pacific Northwest mushrooms that had actual pressed specimens inside.

Found it at the Friends of the Library sale in Portland for 50 cents and a guy next to me literally gasped when he saw the pressed mushrooms still intact between the pages, anyone ever find something like that tucked away in an old book?

I mean, the cookbook recipe is cool but finding actual pressed plants from 1923 is a whole different level.

Oh man, I once found an old beat-up cookbook with a handwritten recipe tucked inside, pretty cool stuff.
