The difference in my corner joints after swapping to a 6 inch knife

I used a 4 inch knife for years but switched to a 6 inch last month and my inside corners went from pitted to smooth in half the time, anyone else have a size change that fixed their finish?

The 6 inch knife is a GAME changer for corners. I had the same exact problem with my 4 inch leaving those little pockmarks in the compound, especially on the inside ones. Once I went bigger, it smoothed right out because you get way more mud on the blade so it fills the gap instead of just scraping over it. Plus the bigger blade gives you a steadier angle, you can really feel the corner better. I'd say anyone fighting with corners should try jumping up a size, even if it feels awkward for a few days, the finish is worth the learning curve.

Traded my 6 inch for a 10 inch trowel once on a bathroom job just to see what would happen and ended up having to redo half the wall because I couldn't keep the corners tight.
