That Level 5 box I was sure was a gimmick? It's the only thing I use now for finishing.

I fought using it for six months on jobs in Denver, thinking it was just marketing hype. What made it click was doing a 12-foot ceiling with it and cutting my sanding time by almost half. Anybody else have that one tool they dismissed at first and now swear by?

...and that's funny because I had the exact opposite problem. First bag of Level 5 I bought, I left it in the truck overnight and it froze solid. Took me an hour with a heat gun to get it back. But once I learned to store it inside, I swear by it now.

Marketing hype is exactly what that box is. Threw one on a kitchen remodel last spring and the stuff crumbled around the edges worse than 90 grit on drywall. Had to skim coat half the ceiling again after it flaked off in chunks. Still keep a bucket of regular joint compound in the truck for anything that needs to look good.
