Heads up on quick-set drywall mud, it doesn't forgive rushed work like the old stuff did.
If you're not adjusting your technique for the faster set time, you're setting yourself up for seam failures down the road.

Man, that reminds me of the time I tried to rush a patch job before a party. Skylerscott is totally right about the wait, because I painted over it in a panic and the whole thing bubbled up a week later. Learned that lesson the hard way.

What gets missed is the curing CONTINUES after it feels dry. If you paint or texture too soon, you trap moisture that weakens everything. It's not just about working fast, it's about waiting longer too.
