That new pump impeller cost me $650 but it kept us running in Mobile Bay
We were digging a channel last month when the old impeller started to vibrate bad. Shut down meant losing the whole day's contract. Swapped in the new one I had on the barge, took about two hours. The difference in suction was huge right away. What's the most you've spent on a single part that saved a job?

And totally agree with you both, that sick feeling fades fast when you see the machine running smooth again. Sometimes the cheap part ends up costing way more in lost time when it fails.

Yeah, that feeling in your gut when you swipe the card is the worst. But keeping the job going makes it worth it every time.

Had to drop 900 on a hydraulic pump once. Felt sick paying it, but it got the crane moving. Sometimes you just gotta eat the cost.
