The 0.5mm line weight debate is still going strong in my office

I keep seeing new drafters set all their hidden lines to 0.25mm because the CAD software default says so. Our shop standard has been 0.35mm for hidden lines on printed D-size sheets for years, and it makes a real difference for the guys on the floor. The thinner lines can disappear under shop lighting or when a print gets handled. I had to redo a whole set of assembly drawings last quarter because a machinist missed a critical internal feature. Do you stick with the software defaults, or have you adjusted your line weights for clarity?

Ever seen a tech miss a hidden bolt?

Yeah, @thomasp44, the real trick is when the bolt isn't hidden, but your brain just refuses to see it for a solid hour.

My old boss swore by the "look twice" rule after a missing bolt cost us a whole afternoon.
