Switched from hand drafting to CAD in 2018 and it still bugs me sometimes
I used to draw everything by hand on vellum with a Rotring pen, and I actually miss the feel of it. But after I took a job at a firm in Austin, they handed me a copy of AutoCAD 2019 and said figure it out. Now I can crank out revisions in 20 minutes instead of 2 hours, but I still catch myself reaching for an eraser instead of hitting undo. Has anyone else had a hard time letting go of the old way?

The undo button thing is real, I do that too. But what gets me is the zoom - I still find myself wanting to pick up a magnifying glass to check lineweights on screen. I had my old Rotring set in a drawer for years after going digital, finally sold them at a garage sale last summer and that stung more than I expected. My brain still thinks in layers of vellum overlays even when I'm staring at a screen full of layers.

Oh man, the vellum overlays thing hit me hard. I still catch myself mentally layering stuff in my head even when everything's on one screen.
