Showerthought: switching from tape measure to digital calipers on site saved me 20 minutes on a single layout last week

I was doing a ceiling grid layout in an old warehouse in Denver and kept second-guessing my tape readings because the floor was uneven. Pulled out my digital calipers just to check a short span and realized I could mark exact offsets without doing math in my head. Now Im using them for any tight fit. Anyone else use calipers for stuff other than calibration?

Totally agree, I remember when I first got a set I spent like an hour just measuring random stuff around the house (you know, drawer pulls, cabinet gaps, all the real exciting stuff).
