My plotter was drifting and I found the culprit under the tape
I was running a set of floor plans for a house on Maple Street and my pen kept shifting about 1/8 inch on the long axis. Took me three tries and a magnifying glass to finally see a tiny piece of old tape stuck under the carriage wheel. I cleaned it out with a Q-tip and alcohol and now everything is dead on. Has anyone else had a similar issue with something small messing up their plots?

Been there. Tiny piece of debris can ruin your whole morning.

Oh man, that is so frustrating. I've definitely been there where something tiny like a piece of tape or a hair somehow makes its way under the wheel and throws everything off. I remember once I had a plot where the lines were all wobbly on one side and I couldn't figure it out for ages. Turned out a little speck of dust was stuck right on the encoder strip. It's crazy how such a small thing can mess up a whole job. Did you have to re-print any of those floor plans?
