I finally switched to using a proper title block template and it saved me hours
For years I just drew my title blocks from scratch on every new project sheet, which took maybe 15 minutes each time. About three months ago, a guy on another site mentioned setting up a dynamic block with attributes in AutoCAD. I made one with fields for project number, date, and drafter name that auto-fill. Now it takes seconds to drop in and update. My last set of 30 sheets was done in under an hour instead of a full afternoon. Has anyone else found a simple template change that gave back a ton of time?

Wait, you were drawing title blocks from scratch every single time? How did you not lose your mind? That's like handwriting the date on every page instead of using a stamp. I can't even imagine doing that for years, no wonder you saved a whole afternoon.

Seriously, how did any of us function before templates? I used to measure out the margins for every single sheet, redrawing the company logo with basic lines. Even the little project info boxes, client name, drawing number, all one clumsy text entry at a time. It felt like building the same cardboard box over and over just to put something inside it.

Remember doing that for a whole set of drawings? It was like reinventing the wheel just to drive to work. So much wasted time just to make things look the same every single time.
