Found a cheap trick for fixing misaligned title blocks in AutoCAD

I spent like 6 months fighting with our title blocks at the firm in Denver. They never lined up right between sheets and it drove me nuts. My coworker Dave finally showed me this simple trick where you draw a hidden line at the exact center of your sheet and snap everything to that. Then you just use the ALIGN command with those center points as reference. Took me about 15 minutes to set up once I knew what to do. Now my title blocks are perfect every time and I'm not spending an hour redoing layouts. Has anyone else found a quick fix for something that should have been obvious but nobody told you about?

Did you try using the "Copy to Clipboard" trick for the base point? I started copying the exact coordinates from one layout tab and pasting them into the others. Saved me from having to redraw anything.

Copying coordinates like that is just asking for trouble. Yeah it works if everything is perfectly aligned, but when do you ever get that in a real drawing? Those numbers shift the second you move a viewport even a little. You end up chasing your own tail trying to match things that are basically already fine. Honestly, the "trick" just adds extra steps. You still gotta check every tab anyway. Redrawing from scratch forces you to look at what you're actually doing. You catch mistakes before they become a bigger mess. It takes the same time in the long run. And pasting coordinates from one tab to another? That assumes your base point is even the same. Half the time the UCS is different or someone rotated the view. Then you're stuck with weird offsets and no idea why. Not worth the headache. I'd rather just set up my template right once. Then every new sheet starts clean. No clipboard roulette. No wondering if that number was from the right spot. It's more boring but way less frustrating.
