Before and after at our shop after switching to digital files

I'm convinced the old paper system was costing us a full day per week. We switched to all digital drafting files back in March this year and the difference is night and day. No more hunting for rolled up prints from the 90s or fighting over the only blueprint table. Has anyone else seen that kind of time save once they went fully digital?

We saw the exact same thing with the "hunting for rolled up prints from the 90s" business, it was brutal. The time we lost just walking back and forth to the file room and unrolling crusty old sheets added up to more than we thought. Going digital cut that mess down to almost nothing and made our Mondays way less chaotic.

Did you read that article about the city engineering department that saved like 40 hours a week just by scanning old blueprints? That blew my mind because it sounds exactly like what you're describing with those 90s prints. The walking back and forth part is the real killer, it eats up so much time without you even realizing it until you actually track it. Getting everything digital really does make Mondays way less of a headache, I bet your team was a lot happier after making that switch.
