AutoCAD sheet set manager: Am I the only one who skipped it for years?

I used to manually xref every single drawing into a master file for my projects. Took me forever. Then last month a senior drafter walked by my screen, saw what I was doing, and just said 'you know sheet set manager does that in 2 clicks right?' I felt like an idiot. Now I'm wondering if I'm missing other big time savers. What's the one thing you ignored for way too long that turned out to be a game changer?

...and that's exactly what happened to my buddy Mike with dynamic blocks. He spent like three years making separate blocks for every single window size, just copying and renaming over and over. I finally showed him the stretch action parameter and his jaw actually dropped, he almost started crying laughing about all the wasted time. Now he's the guy walking around the office checking everyone's blocks like he's on a mission. Pretty sure I caught him trying to sneak dynamic blocks into our title block template too.
