Tried spray foam in my attic and it made a huge difference over fiberglass
I was debating between spray foam and fiberglass batts for sealing up my attic in Phoenix. Got quotes for both - fiberglass was $800, spray foam was $1,400. Tried the foam in a small section first and my workshop stayed 10 degrees cooler that afternoon. Went all in and now my AC barely runs during the summer peak. Anyone else had trouble with fiberglass settling over time?

Take your point man, but I gotta respectfully disagree a bit. Fiberglass has been around forever and works fine if it's installed right with no gaps or compression. In my experience the settling problem gets blown way out of proportion, usually it's more about poor installation than the material itself. Spray foam is definitely better for air sealing no question there, but that price jump is real and you can get similar results for less if you're careful with the fiberglass and add some caulking. Your mileage may vary depending on your attic setup though.
