That $15 foam gun saved me a ton of headaches

I always thought those aerosol foam guns at the hardware store were a gimmick. For years I just used the straw cans of expanding foam for sealing gaps around windows and pipes. Last month I had to seal a bunch of rim joists in my crawlspace in Nashville and got sick of wasting half a can each time. Picked up one of those basic foam gun kits for $15 at Lowes and honestly it changed my mind. The foam comes out way more controlled and you can actually reuse the gun for weeks if you clean it right. Plus no more shaking the can until your arm falls off. Has anyone else tried those for bigger jobs or is it just me?

Yeah I was totally one of those people who thought they were overpriced and unnecessary. But after fighting with the straw cans for years I finally tried one and now I get it... way less waste and the control is so much better.
