Lean into that feeling man. I've been there with a dishwasher that took me THREE trips to the hardware store before I realized the drain hose just needed a straight drop. @hannah_price79 the real killer is how your brain locks onto the COMPLICATED fix first. We all think "oh it's probably the float arm or the diaphragm or some ancient plumbing seal." Nobody wants to admit it could be the stupid easy thing because then you have to face how much time you wasted. I honestly think this is why builder-grade stuff is so frustrating - it LOOKS complex but it's really just simple parts that break in simple ways. The quarter turn is basically the universe's way of reminding us to check the basics BEFORE we take everything apart.
