Visited a Habitat ReStore and noticed all the doors were organized by size not style

I stopped by the Habitat ReStore last weekend looking for a cheap interior door for my basement. They had maybe 60 doors stacked up but they sorted them all by width and height, not by panel style or color. It actually made way more sense than how regular hardware stores do it. Has anyone else found a surprising organization trick at a used building material place?

Did they have them labeled with the actual measurements or did you have to bring a tape measure and check each one yourself? I feel like that would make a huge difference in how fast you could find what you need.

Hard disagree here. Having to bring your own tape measure actually sorts out the people who really know what they're doing from the casuals browsing. When I'm hunting for a specific size bracket or pipe fitting, I'd rather check it myself than trust a faded sticker that's probably been swapped to the wrong bin by some kid working his first week. Plus, you'd be surprised how many times "2 inch" measurements are actually slightly off from brand to brand. Takes maybe an extra 30 seconds per item and saves you a trip back for returns later. The labeled setups just make people lazy and overconfident.
