lily_ramirez4 hit it right on the head, that's a disaster waiting to happen (and I would know). I once tried to build a little shed in my backyard and figured "how hard can it be" and just put the posts on some loose rocks. Let me tell you, that thing tilted so bad after one rainstorm it looked like a drunk person trying to stand up. So yeah, gravel decks are basically a slow motion collapse just begging to happen. Save yourself the trouble and just pour some concrete, unless your goal is to have a fun game of "guess when the deck falls down" every time you step outside.

But what if the disaster is the whole point? Sometimes people let things fall apart on purpose to force a real change. Maybe they're tired of fixing the same old broken system.
