My basement wall crack got worse after I patched it wrong in March
I noticed a hairline crack in my foundation back in February near the furnace. I just filled it with some cheap hydraulic cement from Home Depot in Des Moines, but three months later the crack is now a quarter inch wide and leaking water. Turns out I should have chiseled the crack open and used an epoxy injection kit instead. Has anyone tried the RadonSeal DIY kit for this kind of repair?

Your "quick fix" turned into a bigger problem and that stinks. I did a similar thing with a garage floor crack a few years back and watched it grow all spring. For what its worth the RadonSeal kit worked well on a buddy's slightly leaky wall in Ankeny.

Your quick fix turned into a bigger problem" is pretty much what happened to me with a fence post I set in concrete that cracked all winter. I dug it out and used that expanding foam stuff instead, worked great for that but for basement walls I'd be scared it just pushes the crack wider. With all the rain we had in March and April it soaked everything, so maybe waiting for drier weather and going with the epoxy kit is your best bet.
