My $30 paint sprayer vs a cheap brush, no contest for trim work
I spent last Saturday painting baseboards in my hallway here in Austin and finally gave up on brushes for good. I had this old Wooster brush that kept leaving streaks no matter how slow I went, so after 3 tries I grabbed a little Wagner sprayer from the hardware store. Big difference, the sprayer laid down an even coat in like 15 minutes compared to an hour of fighting with the brush. I still needed a small brush for the corners, but the flat sections came out smooth and looked like a pro did it. Also, cleaning the sprayer took maybe 10 minutes with water and soap, so it wasn't a hassle at all. Has anyone else switched to a sprayer for baseboards and found the cleanup was easier than they thought?
