Just painted my 100th board foot of trim this weekend

I've been working on baseboards and casing in my 1920s bungalow in Portland, and Saturday I hit 100 board feet of primed pine. That's like 16 full pieces of trim, all cut, caulked, and painted with two coats of semi-gloss. I set a goal of finishing one room a month back in March, and seeing that number stack up really surprised me. Has anyone else tracked something like this to stay motivated on a big project?

Damn, that's some solid dedication right there.

Oh man, right? I spent like three hours on something similar last week!

Actually, I'm gonna push back on that a little. "Three hours" honestly sounds like overkill for something that probably could've been done in half the time with a smarter approach (not trying to be rude, just saying). I've seen people burn hours on stuff that a quick Google search or a simpler tool could've fixed in 20 minutes. Like, last week a buddy of mine spent all afternoon manually formatting a spreadsheet when there's literally a button in Excel that does it instantly. So yeah, sometimes that "dedication" is just spinning your wheels.
