Is sanding between coats actually worth it or just a waste of time?
My crew refinished a stair rail in Portland last month, my guy sanded every coat and it came out glass smooth. Another contractor I know skips it entirely on trim work, says no one notices after the poly dries. Which side are you on, does it really matter for paint grade stuff or only for stain?
