Hot take: My brother's flooded basement in Toledo made me ditch all flexible supply lines
Helping him gut the place after a burst line ruined his finished basement. Found the culprit, a cheap braided line under the sink that gave out after maybe 5 years. Water ran for 8 hours straight. Did the math on the damage, over 15 grand easy. Now I only use rigid copper for any plumbing fix in my own house. No exceptions. Anyone else go full metal after a plumbing disaster?
