Vent: wasted $60 on a cheap bookbinding glue that ruined my first rebind
Honestly, I thought I was saving money by buying a no-name PVA glue from a craft store for my first hardcover rebind. It looked okay at first but after two days the pages started peeling apart. I had to trash the whole thing and start over with a $14 jar of lineco PVA. Has anyone else had a bad experience with budget book glue?

Yeah cheap PVA is a trap. It doesn't crosslink right and stays rubbery so pages just fall apart. Lineco is solid but if you ever need something in a pinch Elmer's craft bond PVA works well too just has a longer dry time. Make sure you let it cure fully before pressing too, that's where a lot of people mess up.

Has anyone else had Elmer's craft bond take forever to cure, @shane_perry29?
