Spent $80 on book cloth samples and they all came wrinkled

Ordered a sampler pack from that online fabric store everyone raves about. They looked fine in the listing photos but every single one showed up with creases and folds baked into the weave. Tried ironing on low, medium, high, with a pressing cloth, without. Nothing gets the fold lines out. I figured I could save a few bucks compared to the craft store shelf prices but now I'm stuck with unusable scraps and a wasted weekend. Has anyone found a reliable way to flatten stubborn book cloth, or should I just eat the loss and buy in person next time?

Man, that's brutal... I had the exact same thing happen with a pack of vegan book cloth from an Etsy shop last spring. Ironing just made the wrinkles set in harder somehow, like the adhesive underneath reacted weird. I finally got one piece sort of flat by misting it with water and pressing it under a stack of heavy books for two days, but it still had faint lines that showed up under the title stamp. If you do buy local next time, at least you can feel the fabric before spending that kind of cash.
