My neighbor Karen said my stained pages looked like coffee spills

She saw the books I did with tea and turmeric dye on my porch last Sunday and asked if I'd dropped my mug on them. Made me wonder if my color choices are too muddy. Anyone else get comments that make you second guess your mod style?

My friend Sarah aged her pages with coffee and her sister said they looked like she left them out in the rain. She almost threw them away until someone on Etsy bought the whole set.
