Burned $35 on a cheap hot glue gun that clogged mid-project

I was trying to rebind a thick fantasy novel and about 20 pages in my $12 gun just stopped pushing glue out. Clogged up solid over the heating element. Now I'm stuck with half a loose cover and I gotta buy something better maybe a dual temp one from the craft store near my work. Anyone else deal with cheap glue guns ruining a book mod project?

My $7 Walmart special did the same thing halfway through gluing a cracked phone case back together. That clog was like concrete, had to pitch the whole thing and order a proper one. Funny how saving a few bucks always costs you more in the end.
