Tried coworking at a beach bar in Medellin, lasted 3 hours

Saw all these instagram posts about working with your feet in the sand and coconut water next to the laptop. Booked a table at one of those places in El Poblado that promised wifi and outlets. Wifi died every 20 minutes when the blender ran. Sand got into my keyboard and now two keys stick. Plus the waitress kept asking if I wanted another drink every 30 minutes. I ended up paying $18 for a smoothie bowl just to justify sitting there. Now I get why people pay for those boring box offices. Lesson learned: ocean views are for vacation, not deadlines. Has anyone actually made the beach office thing work without losing your mind?
