Switched from coworking memberships to cafe hopping in Chiang Mai after I realized I was paying $200 a month for a desk I barely used
My total coffee budget for the month came to $47 and I got better WiFi and way more interesting lunch breaks (plus the iced matcha at Wawee is legit the best in the Nimman area), so what cheap spot do you guys use for wifi and power outlets without feeling like a mooch?

$47 for a whole month of cafe hopping? That's absolutely insane. I spend that on coffee in a week, maybe even two if I'm being lazy with the instant stuff at home. And you're telling me the WiFi was actually better than a paid coworking desk? That's wild to me, like you basically hacked the system. I'd feel like I won the lottery if I found a spot that consistently had good power outlets and didn't look at me funny for nursing one drink for three hours. What's the move at Wawee when you're trying to camp out for a bit without buying a second round?

Insane" is the right word. $47 a month for cafe hopping sounds like a warning label, not a budget hack. You're basically subsidizing a caffeine addiction with the local coffee shop's sympathy. Nursing one drink for three hours at Wawee? They'll remember your face and start charging you by the glare. I'd rather spend the extra $30 on a coworking desk and not worry about someone silently timing my bathroom breaks. The WiFi probably works better at the library anyway, and they don't expect a tip.
