Stop booking your sleep schedule around the timezone, book it around your work hours

I see so many nomads bragging about working from Bali or Thailand and then complaining about being exhausted 3 weeks in. The problem is they look at the time difference and think they can just flip their sleep to align with US clients, then they wonder why they crash. I spent 5 months in Chiang Mai last year and finally figured out my mistake. I was trying to sleep at 6am so I could take 9am EST calls, but never accounted for the 90 degree heat at noon making it impossible to actually rest. What worked was booking a place with blackout curtains that were actually good, plus a fan or AC that could keep the room under 75, and then forcing myself to stay on a weird but fixed schedule for at least 2 weeks straight. Once I stopped trying to be a morning person in a place where the sun cooks you by 10am, I got way more done. Anyone else found that the local climate matters more than the timezone math?
