Pro tip: Your 'work from anywhere' setup is probably too heavy

I see people in Medellin cafes with massive 17-inch gaming laptops and three power bricks. I did that for a year and my checked bag was always over 50 pounds. Last month I switched to a single 13-inch laptop and a universal charger. My back feels better and I've missed zero deadlines. What's the heaviest piece of gear you still carry that you could probably drop?

Remember that extra laptop battery? Mine's basically a paperweight now.

Honestly, the "cables and adapters" thing hit me hard. I was carrying like four different USB-C hubs and a dongle for a monitor I haven't even plugged into in six months. It's crazy how you just toss stuff in a bag and forget about it until you actually have to unpack everything at a cafe. Tbh, what's the one cable or adapter you've been carrying around for like a year that you've literally never used even once?

Ever think about how much weight is just from the cables and adapters you never actually use?
