Just realized my travel router was the bottleneck this whole trip
Been hopping between hostels in Lisbon for 3 weeks and blamed every slow connection on the buildings, but a $25 travel router I grabbed in Porto turned my 4 Mbps cafe wifi into a solid 30 Mbps for video calls. Anyone else ever check their own gear before blaming the local network?

Funny enough, same thing happened to me in Bangkok except my "router" was actually a broken ethernet cable I'd been carrying for years. Swapped it out at a 7-Eleven and suddenly the hostel wifi felt like fiber.
