Hostel coworking vs cafe hopping in Lisbon - I switched teams completely

I spent my first 3 weeks in Lisbon bouncing from cafe to cafe trying to get work done. Thought hostels would be too loud and distracting. Then I tried the Selina in Baixa for a day because my wifi went out. Turns out having a proper desk and other people actually working around me kept me way more focused than any espresso-fueled cafe session. Anyone else find hostels surprisingly productive for deep work?

Had the same change of mind, @harper_owens. The desks really made a difference for me.

lol the "proper desk" thing is real, hostels just make me nap instead of work though.
